Unearthed Practice is a design studio based in Oklahoma City led by cofounders Christopher Loofs and Jordan Loofs. We seek to identify the mundane elements of the everyday that have fallen invisible and, through quality design, render them visible as a means to change the way people experience and think about the built environment. We create structures, furniture, objects, artworks, exhibitions, images, writings, and more
We are always open to exploring new collaborations, new projects, and new interests. Come and ask... “what’s UP?”
Christopher received a Master of Architecture from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University. He is the 2023-2025 Robert L. Wesley Teaching Fellow at the University of Oklahoma Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture. His recent research projects explore issues related to environmental justice and toxicity in building materials, representations of disability in the built environment, planning for rising sea levels in northern New Jersey, and the potential of play in design education.
